been a while

so i’m not even sure if people really read this anymore as i am no longer in greece but i thought a post greece update was necessary.

when i first got home i was extremely greece sick. things got better once i started school and now things are fine. i miss greece terribly and cant wait for the day i get to go back. so maybe this isn’t much of an update but id like to think this would answer most of the questions. i dont know if this blog is dead to be honest but i know ill always come back and read it whenever i miss it.

Santorini: why my mom kicks ass and why people quit their lives to come here

i know ive said this about a lot of things on this blog but Santorini is the most absolute beautiful place ive ever been. I loved it, if i wouldnt have anything going for me i would literally leave and come live here. I had a great time and seriously found the coolest shops and everything there was amazing, well i guess its time for me to get started!

My journey started on thursday as we got on the ferry and went the 5 hours to santorini. each ferry we get on is better and better. so we get there and this huge guy picks up at the port to take us to our hostel. He is BLASTING will smith. it was so much fun, i seriously sang to getting jiggy with it, men in black, miami and then he played this amazin song that goes, “?I was made for loving you baby, you were made for loving me”, i knew this weekend was going to be amazing just by that there ride, so we get to our hostel and then i pretty much knock out.

Mykonos pt 2!

sorry my explanation was so half assed last week i was tired and completely bittened up, pictures of my legs still to come by the way but the funniest part of the whole thing is that we stayed in little bungalows that used to be chicken coops and they were all so slanted then i felt like if i were to move abruptly i would crash head first into the wall! it was scary! and im pretty sure i mentioned this but just in case, our hostel is on one of the worlds most famous nude beaches. applause please, now onto santorini!

Mykonos

Hello all! sorry it has been so long since ive last written on her! things have been really busy and complicated since well i had a few tests and some projects due! i forget sometimes that i am here for school but finally i am able to tell you about mykonos and catch you up! sadly it will still be short as im leaving for santorini tonight but i will get everything done and accounted for.

Well in mykonos we arrived on a friday night and basically got settld in. on saturday we rented 4 wheelers and drove around the whole island. it was so beautiful. then at night we went out and had dinner right on the water. then i came back and slept on the beach until 4 in the morning. i woke up with more bugbites than i could count. i will post a picture about it later.  on sunday we laid out at the beach and played games. i had the worst strawberry margarita, it tasted like a snowcone. i actually liked snow cones but not with tequila apparently. that night a few of us went night swimming, it was sor gorgeous but it was also dead scary becuase we couldnt see anything! well the next day was monday and wwe went home. when we got on a metro a fight broke out right next to us. we had to like run and jumo off. it was straight scary. then becuase we were nervous we missed our stop and we had to take two mor lines to get back to where we were supposed to be. that part was not fun and my heart was beating like crazy but im ok now. and it was fun.

Mykonos!

so this weekend i went on a little excursioni to the island of mykonos! i havent had time to upload pictures yet so as soon as i get a chance i will upload pictures and just update you on greek living!

sorry hectic week

sorry i havent been posting anything! this past week was really streeful as i had my first midterm which i studied my ass off for and then i ended up with a little hint of allergies ans sinus which put me out of commision. a cool thing that did happen was that i went to a weird art show for my photo class ill be posting a few pics of those up later and i watched the eurovision competition which is basically like the american idol except one or two representatives from each country. some were excellent norway the winners and some were odd like russia. not bad just odd. well hope you all have been having a great spring time!

mycenae!

so yesterday, which was friday, i took my last historical trip to mycenae! im gonna be honest, it wasnt as amazing as some of the other places but a myth took place here, Agnemnom, so it was cool to have read about that story in the past and then come to the palce where it happened. alittle moreplus picture link after the jump!

my first greek isle..or are they islands?

all i can say is wow! this was island number 1 on my trips that i have had planned and all i can say was amazing. it wasnt exactly beach weather or island weather but none-the-less it was so exciting and so beautiful. also this is pretty much the first time i have been on a boat for any long amount of time. let me jsut say i was not thrilled and i had to sit with my head in between my legs quite a few times. any ways more details after the jump!

hello all! im back!

so i am obviously back from my island and i had a wonderful time! i will wirte more about that later though i promise! i am having some internet/computer problems so as soon as i get through those hopefully ill be able to post the pictures as well as some funny little stories.

in other news, i had my first greek test today! seriously not bad at all. i finished in like 10 minutes. im not cocky by any means but when it comes to foreign languages i tend to catch on very quickly. i like greece and the fact i get to use it alot around here is cool, also the people who speak greek LOVE when you try to talk to them in greek and then they use there english on you, today i helped a man get to the grocery store!

well thats it for now but expect a post tomorrow because i already have another trip on friday!
